CNC machined parts, estimated from your model.

Upload an STL and watch it turn in 3D while the tool sizes the stock, counts the metal that has to come off and puts a rough number on it — aluminum, steel, stainless, brass or engineering plastics on our CNC mill, programmed in Autodesk HSM by the people who cut it.

Drop an STL or OBJ. It renders in 3D in your browser — drag to rotate, wheel to zoom.

4Request the quote

Model and estimate land with the machine shop. Firm quote back within a business day.

Upload it, watch it spin, price it.

Drop an STL straight out of SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor or Onshape. The part renders in 3D right here, we take off its size, volume and surface area, and a rough machining estimate updates as you pick the material and options. Nothing leaves your browser until you ask for the quote.

Drop in your model

STL (binary or ASCII) or OBJ, one part per file, at 1:1 scale. Inches or millimeters — the tool guesses from the size and lets you flip it. Attach the drawing to the note if tolerances matter.

Material, tolerance, quantity, finish

The estimate is built from the model alone: stock envelope, metal removed, surface to finish, number of setups. Features like threads, tight bores and thin walls are confirmed by an engineer on the quote.

Materials we machine stock on the floor or a day away

Other alloys, castings you supply, and plastics like PEEK or polycarbonate on request. Certs available for metals.

How the estimate is built every rate the tool uses, in the open

This is a rough order-of-magnitude estimate from geometry with no feature recognition. A machinist reviews every request — fixturing, tool access, tolerances, threads — and sends back a firm quote, normally within one business day. Think-PLC, LLC assumes no responsibility for parts made from customer models; we make what you send.
